Big News: We are Coming to Birregurra!

We have some truly wonderful news to share with our spirited community...

Our planning application for Otways Distillery at 47 Main Street, Birregurra has officially been approved! After over four years of searching, we finally have a place to call home—right in the heart of the Otways.

What’s Next for Otways Distillery

The journey ahead is full of promise (and hard work). We’ll be taking things step by step:

• Stage One: Tasting Room Opening
  First up, we’ll be restoring the old restaurant on site and transforming it into a warm, welcoming tasting room with a beautiful courtyard—perfect for sipping and socialising.

• Stage Two: Brandy & Whisky Production Shed
  Next, we’ll construct a new production shed, where we can distill, age, and store our spirits—whisky, brandy, and more. This will be the beating heart of our craft distillation process.

This milestone wouldn’t have been possible without an incredible circle of support. From our wonderful family and ‘distillery dad’, to our friends, consultants, the old venue owners, tradies, business mentors, and of course the Birregurra, Colac, Forrest, and Otways locals—your belief in this dream has meant everything.

A Home Among the Hills

It’s been a long road—four years of searching for the right home—but we’re finally here. Birregurra, nestled in the rolling Otways, is the perfect place for us to grow roots, craft unique spirits, and share the joy of small-batch distilling.
